Just get a tent and some accessories and chuck them in the back of a normal road car, don't know why people need a builders car to go and sleep/cook on a patch of grass somewhere.
People can't do anything these days without spending a fortune first, its weird.

I'm to old to be sleeping in a fucking tent
Infact I've still got a fairly epic 3 bedroom tent but I shudder at the thought of sleeping in one these days.
Then there's the setup before and cleanup afterwards.

The other reason for the camper is a Dog and a Baby! The baby not so much of an issue but the dog isn't particularly welcome

I think I'm pretty much sold on the Vito idea again..
Everything else just feels shit by comparison and personally how it drives is one of the most important factors.
I've been looking at T5's but again they are not as nice to drive and people want obscene amounts of money for them.
For me the holy grail will be a 2009 or newer auto Dauliner (with a tail gate), Traveliner or Viano Auto with under 100k on the clock for £8k or less, these all already have a nicely trimmed interior and the glass fitted.

I think it's because you can't afford a t5 that you keep saying you don't like how they drive.

If this was an auto I think I'd be sold:

Not really Nicolas, Its in-fact quite the opposite they drive like shit because they drive like shit and I can comfortably afford to buy a new one, maybe even two or three with cash but I'm not some kind of flashy cunt and I happen to squeak when I walk.

surely if you are doing it to make money youd be better off buying a transporter due to popularity.

Mr Barnes: You'll be pleased to know I've been looking at face-lift T5's... I had only ever driven earlier ones which always felt a bit agricultural, the later ones are much nicer!
Currently waiting on the Accountant to tell me how much I can spent

If I had dough, i'd have a camper. I don't mind sleeping in a tent. It's all the associated grief with getting to that point that I can't stand.
And then all the post event shite too.
Would be so lovely to just shut the door, start the engine and drive off.

The only thing letting that down visually is that nasty, tacky, sodding great big horrible cheap looking badge on the front.
They do look much better with the longer snout though.
