Ah well goto the Pod then, I'll do my own day to promote my business/site. Doesn't bother me either way just thought it would be a laugh, 500 quid isn't a lot of cash

Nope

Nik, u can promote your site im sure. Contact the Pod tel number and give them some ideas, let a few mags know, spend that extra cash on some women (promotion), get a marquee, and go to every bloody website u know getting people to go there? Thats if your trying to promote your site.

If not, you can still do that, and some people will go to that, some will go to an independent RWYB and wanna race each other on another date, some will do both

If its around September time then I'll be there with my new car and another car from Samurai Tuning.

Mine will be a high 10/low 11 sec car and the other high 11's I expect (depending when it is!)

Also, if its just a corsasport day and its in the mags, Im sure we'd be willing to part with some ££ to pay for some of it, in exchange for a bit of a mention

the only thing with the pod - is its ok for people like Daimo with his 2litre, but for others its quite embaressing / intimidating going down a strip with a small engine. Probably half the reason I was the only small engined corsasport member to go down on sunday.

Alot may say they will now, but on the day it might be different.

The only other thing with a RWYB day is I'd imagine a huge queue for the strip as that is the only reason people have gone there! at PV2003 there were other things to do, so POD I'd imagine to be much more busier and bigger time between each go... harder to pair people up etc!

I want to race some 1.4's up the strip!

well if we were to look at proportionality of members/users of CS i no for fact that due to the way population density is spread out throughout the UK, a higher proportion will come from southern areas (any where upto bout Covertry/rugby/etc).........

This means it makes more sense to do summat at the pod etc. Then we can easily cater for the large majority from London, Essex, Mids, East anglia etc....Unfortunatlely, Scots arent so lucky, but thats how it is. They usually have their own regular meets that i read bout, knockhill and all that. But its only a days drive down, and it would be worthwhile if it was PROPERLY organised.

I still think having a corsasport only day would be the best idea, less busy and more organised. I'll have a think, ask about and see what I can come up with here. Would be an excellent day out and see who the real king of cs is

i really thin that if we had it in the midlands, with enough notice, then we would have enough people to make it a really good and affordable day...

Yeah deff. As said above, Brunters is 500 quid for the day, 50 people attending is only a tenner each which to blast you car at silly speeds safely and legally is a billy bargin. Only extra cost would be the timing gear but I'm sure with companys like mine, Cosmo and maybe a magazine we could sort the cost on that out fairly. Will take a few months to organise as rushing these things will only lead to a class A balls up
