A book on Liverpool "nearly" winning the league.

Lovely.

I agree with Marc though, Chelsea will probably bye him in another Willian style move!

Even if Chelsea don't try their usual pish, they have added some real quality (pending Diego Costa's fitness/consistency).
If United do get Vidal, and depending on what LVG does during the transfer window, it could be a fantastic battle for the top four.

Looking forward to LVG's first conference later. Going to be much more interesting than Gollum

Kroos had 1 year left on his contract. Lallana probably had 3, maybe 4?

Yeah, I know he had a year left, but it still shows the utterly outrageous cost of a pretty decent English player. There's little wonder teams look abroad for talent.

LVG said no more signings for 3-4 weeks until he's assessed the squad

Carrick out for "a long time" (10 weeks, ankle injury...) Vidal price just went up €10m

So basically it'll be the same scenario as Moyes had. The fact there'll be a fortnight or so of the window left will add a fair few £m's to price tags

Another article says he is looking to get rid of at least 7 players, of which Nani, Young, Fellaini and Caveys favourite are present.

I can't see Fellaini or Cleverly . Even Nani will be given a chance imo!

I'm interested to see who he makes captain too. You would suspect RVP but I don't think he will appoint him. Rooney will want it but he doesn't have the temperament.

Unless Evra stays and he gives it to him.

Should get rid of Anderson, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Fellaini and Bebe without needing to assess them.

And if there's no intention of giving them a chance might as well get rid of Zaha and Powell too instead of them getting no where with us.

Fellaini, Zaha and Powell are three I'd keep. Fellaini purely because he cost so much and it could take a while to settle in. The other two because they are young, English talents. But LVG has said he will see who can adapt to his philosophy, and those who can't will be chopped.

Off topic, but UEFA have altered the rules so that any yellow card after the CL quarter finals will be voided. Seems that Alonso's suspension has made them change their minds, but they didn't give two fucks about Scholes and Keane
