Brilliant effort by Lewis. Especially after appearing to be on the back foot in Q1 & Q2.

Do feel a little sorry for Rosberg though, he's not exactly shit, yet is faced with Hamilton who is simply at his best at the moment.

He does talk some amount of nonsense but the Beeb keep him around because he's still got a lot fo contacts in the paddock, he can pretty much go anywhere and say anything

In fairness even on Sky its not much better for punditry. Davidson is decent, always seems to talk the most sense and doesnt just go along with whatever tripe the media are trotting out this week

He must be starting to feel a bit rattled, with any luck his WDC lead will be gone tomorrow and he's been leaning on that a fair bit for interviews etc.

I'm still intrigued to see how far apart they are in the race tomorrow, assuming they both get a clean get away.

Lewis was miles ahead in Malaysia, Bahrain safety car made it look closer that it should have been, and China we couldn't really tell because of Nicos' start.

If Lewis pulls away tomorrow and finishes with a similar gap to Malaysia, then Nico really is in trouble. If Nico can keep him honest and/or take him in the race - game on for the season.

I think the thing that will tell in the end will be Lewis' experience. He can handle the pressure, hes been there before. When it comes down to the nitty gritty and you need to pull off something mega, Lewis will do it. Reverse today and put Nico trailing Lewis in Q1&2 and i just cant imagine Nico turning it around.

You should know by now Ben that when Lewis does well they all mysteriously disappear, only to re-appear the next time he has some bad luck.

Odd that.

It's everything to do with the driver you pleb.

What happened to Maldonado? He crashed. The team didn't make him crash, he messed up.

Did lewis crash? Oh, no he didn't.

You really think that?

The best drivers end up in the best cars. Same way thw best footballers end up at the best teams.

Happens in every sport, yet people always pick on f1

Yeah, F1 IS about the car... but Lewis is trampling his teammate, and Vettel is getting trampled by his. That's the only measure we've got, it may change through the season - but on the sample we've got so far, Lewis is the best driver in the best car - he can't do anymore than that.

he is the angriest man on the internet.

if the internet was a car, he'd get out of it and threaten other drivers.

Ben is right tho! Its not 100% about the driver its about the team effort but the driver is the talent you see driving the car. If you put chilton etc in the merc he wouldnt be keeping rosberg behind him for 10 laps with shit tyres!! Im a button fan but know lewis is 100% best driver on the grid!
