..... alot cheaper than KSport.

KSport arent bad... but to fuck with there parts prices. Shocking.

I'll still prob go KSport on the Impreza, maybe even D2. See whats the best price wise at the time.

some mapping done by Russ at Wallace Performance... nice gains all round from fresh engine and turbo's. Engine/Turbo's are exactly the same spec as before (Tomei rods this time). Engine built by RB Motorsport.

You might find that the oil seal on that breaks rather easierly and leaks more oil than an XE's sump .

have you tried and tested the same one?

No major shakes if the seal does leak.... its a seal after all and can be replaced.

Looks to be the same one both B3KAN and I have used on our corsas and both have ended up leaking serious amounts of oil.

The problem we've had is that the seal splits in the middle. I then changed to a different plate which had two different seals (One for each groove) and that didn't leak much oil at all.

I believe that it did eventually get to be over-tightened , but only because it was leaking so badly.

made a start on the rear wide arches today...

Cut about 3" from the arch, trimmed the inner skin, tack welded the two skinns together and just gave it a wee coat of paint in and out. Will seam seal it next and finish the back end.

Spacers are on too

i was gona ask that, think it could be a brace to hold the boot lid with pins so dont have any hinges etc and can remove it quickly if needs be?

Pretty sure it's for a quick release as you say(you can see the two pins sticking up) could also be there for extra strenght at the back should it get rear ended.

its to help hold the boot skin up

The rear wing isnt heavy, but when at speed the down force will push it straight through the boot.

The boot skin is only GRP with alu angle bar bracing.. its sits on that frame, and the normal boot mounting points

have you felt the weight of alu angle bar? Its very light

The GRP boot it self weighs about 500g, the bracing maybe 1kg on a bad day

Compare that to - boot lock, hinges, boot springs, metal boot skin and skeleton

About 6 or 7kg
