Yeah, Finnan was linked with a £2m move to Fulham so def more than an £18m deal

I think lfc steamed in to quickly to be honest, no-one else was gonna be cheeky enough to make a bid so maybe we should have bided our time a bit more, saying that we have the player unsettled now so we are in the driving seat I suppose.

I think Barry is a bigger man than that. If for some reason you don't sign him I can see him playing for Villa again. He doesn't come across as that type of guy IMO.

He'll certainly play for them - but he has already come out and made it more than clear that he doesnt want to be there. So its going to unsettle things if he did have to stay.
Anyway - it wont happen as we will sign him in the end for some stupid fucking price.

How confident are you of bringing in more new faces before the season starts on August 16?
We are working really hard. We are close to finishing some deals and we'll see if we can progress with big names and also players who will improve in the future. Again, the plan is to prepare the squad for next season but we must not forget to create something really important for the next few years.
Sounds like we have a few more signings to come yet  and some decent youngsters too
