Haha not very often though. As much as swap deals never happen, I would have taken juan mata and 10m for Rooney, the problem is united policy is to not sell to other prem league clubs

BBC saying it was a swap of Mata/Luiz plus £10m. They dont usually put nonsense paper talk as their main headline. Seems it was a genuine offer. Bravo Sky Sources.

That's the downside to Mourinho. He's got such a big ego that if he doesn't like someone, he won't care if it's detrminental to the team. Mata was one of the star players last season, and Luiz had just started to find his best position in the last few games.
If Rooney does go to Chelsea, I'd put a couple of quid on him getting the golden boot tbh.

Is United policy not to sell to other PL clubs the same as the famous Anfield atmosphere???
A myth.

If it doesn't involve Mata then there's no way we can let him go without lining up someone else first. Be stupid if we did.

Wonder if this is all just Jose playing mind games early doors? An early test for Moyes to see how he deals with it.

Further unsettling Rooney, causing further headaches for Moyes.

Agreed.
What gets me about rooney is he wanted to leave before due to the club not showing ambition and not signing the best players.. We buy the likes of Rvp and kagawa and then wants to leave due to losing his place really want this to be settled asap!

The money would be more useful to Moyes at the minute than Rooney IMO, especially if they get £30 million or so which they will do considering the amount of oil wealth floating about.

I don't believe the biggest issue is Rooney wanting to leave, it's who we sell him to. I'd be glad to see the back of him if he fucks of to somewhere like Monaco.. I would hate it if he goes to chelsea!

Forgot about Kagawa. Sell Rooney, play Kagawa behind RVP. Buy another midfielder with the money from Rooney.

Get rid of Anderson too unless some miraculous transformation occurs and I don't mean the one where he turns in to the Michelin man which is where he's heading at the moment.

Thoughts on cleverly? I'm not completely convinced but if he gets game time and stays injury free I think he will be alright

I personally think Utd are makign a huge mistake with Rooney. You fuck him over and he'll batter you every chance he gets. He's a cunt like that. Also think Utd are treating him very badly and fans are being idiots but hey ho. Also RVP is nearly 31, so will need replacing in a seaosn or 2. Rooney is what, 27?
As said, can nver quite tell with Mourinho whether he's playing games or not but if hes' interested in Rooney for real, then can see him ending up there (sadly for us).
Hopefully he is just fuckign with Moyes and then we can sign him (ratehr Cesc though) in addition to A N Other "star striker"
PS Giroud just scored a firts half hattric aghainst Vietna, 5 in his last 60 mins now... AW wont bother with a new striker

He's ok but not kicked on like I hoped he would. It's time now that we splashed the cash on a top player in central midfield. Has been time that happened for a while now really.

I just can't imagine who we can realistically buy in terms of a top central midfield player. We will now be linked with mata because of the rooney story but will never happen. Would love Fabregas but he wants to stay put. Strootman was also a 'done deal' not seen much of him but from what I've read isn't what I imagine to be the answer to our midfield problem.
