Overall a good game, England played a lot better
Doesn't matter about the goal, we've got the best draw we could. Quarter finals here we come

im a bit pi$$ed off, how can they let the same thing happen twice , our defending today was the biggest pile of wank ive ever seen from this team, when i play at the weekend people i know can defend better than that

Bad defending was what fucked us up.
Firstly, on tonights performance Beckham doesnt even deserve to be in the squad. His passing was shite, his dead balls were shite and he offers no protection for the right back what so ever. It was his fault for the first goal as it was his man who got the header at the front post, and they nearly did it again when he was there.
Joe Cole had a great game, my MOTM by a mile. Also thought Owen Hargreaves had a great game.
Lampard went missing after the first 25mins. Terry looked poor for his standards (which is still a good performance) but Cambell was all over the place for the 2nd. What the fuck was he trying to do when the ball came over?!!?

Yeah, was one of only a few who deserves their place in that team automatically after tonight.

No Rooney....No Win
seems that the whole team plays stronger and offensivly when he is on the pitch, gotta give it to Joe Cole though had a great match, absolutely brilliant goal. probably best of the tournament IMO

don't roll your eyes at me numb nuts....
England played good 1st half but nothing outstanding.....I'm on the wave length that points is points and they have won the group which is all that matters at this stage..Improvement is needed though you can't argue with that.....
In my eyes a draw overall at the end is probably a fair result and one which suits England anyway..

Agree with the posts above about Joe Cole. He played solidly throughout the game, really tried hard and definitely deserves a permanent first team England slot

I dont agree with that and neither do the statistics. We have won themajority of games when he hasnt played.
We have enough good players to win without him. He played tonight (and yes he wasnt fit obviously) but he did nothing after about 35mins.

Maybe i should have worded it a bit defferent but i didnt mean all matches, i just meant this one. as soon as he left the whole team sort of went on a defensive, maybe just a coincidence

Good result in the end, shocking defending on the second goal. And on set pieces from them overall, was most impressed with Hargreaves. I admit I would have been the first person to take him out of the team but he was solid tonight and kept going till the end. Unecessary yellow card but thats was just his determination that got him that. Cracking game from him overall though, Joe cole was superb too. Got a bit tired towards the end but spot on otherwise.
Gerrard was good when he came on, Lampard was pretty quiet all match. Beckham was disappointing but had a couple of good moments.
But at the end of the day we won the group and we get the 'easier' match next game.
