the overall plan is to take the engine out of the black car, rebuild it and then stick it in my blue one. Then sell any bits of the black one to try and make as much money back as possible
Ready for PVS, maybe PVS 2008

Update:

The engines out

Finally making some progress. Engine crane arrived at 9am saturday morning which i hired for a very reasonable rate. Rolled thunder out of his hidey hole and started work.

First things first: up on axle stands

The hoses were originally white

Next up was to drain the fluids and get rid of any bits that i could think of

V6 brakes tht will be going on mine

Interior

2 of my mates were ment to be coming to help me, one phoned up and said that he had blown his mums rover up and the head gaket had gone . So only one mate turned up with his girlfriend

Engine ready to come out:

Strike a pose

Engine out:

1 engine

+

1 F28, Drivestafts and loom

+

Turbo and manifold

+

Clutch

+

Randon bits and pieces

=

My garage

Only managed to snap one bolt all day Was the stud in the turbo exhaust housing which the downpipe bolts to. Got pissed off so i hacksawed through the other one

And this is how thunder stands now. The end of one corsasport chapter and the start of another

Rebuilding it the way it was atm. Cant afford to many other fancy parts. Who knows what the future will hold though .

Also where would sell 8.8 grade bolts as i need to bolt the thing to my engine stand and the standard gearbox bolts arent long enough, so i need to get longer ones?

Bee Fast fastenings on the trading estate at the top of Marlow Hill in High Wycombe if they are still in business. Otherwise just look in Yellow Pages, I'm sure there is somewhere in Uxbridge which does bolts.

at least u'l be learning as you go along. best way to learn and get experience mate is by doing it yourself mate. and it keeps the costs down (slightly)

nice project, engine crane looks fancy, usually when i hire one its a bit ancient and i end up tieing a seatbelt to the engine and then use the hook on the crane to get the engine out
