Its now got a brand spanking Janspeed 4-2-1 fitted, with a new cat so it passed its MOT, which will be coming off as soon as I can get some welding done on my old decat!

I didn't want to weld the hole up on the new manifold though - firstly, I wanted it to stay as it is if I ever want to sell it, and two, I don't have a welder

So I made a small steel plate to cover the hole, and used a spare inlet gasket I had lying about to cut a piece from:

I also fitted a BMC CDA kit around 2 weeks ago, that I got for about £30, but really struggled to fit the cold air feed as there isn't much space for it! I didn't want to run it down the wheelarch liner in this weather, as it quite often floods around where my parents live, so its currently running to the top grille.

I also found some suitable bolts for the engine cover so thats fitted permanently, and got a carbon-look oil cap from Dimos :

So, the engine bay now currently looks like this:

Hope you like it!!

I know you just want the whole lot matt black, you've told me enough times

A mate of mine has said he may be able to sort it for about £400, but if that doesn't happen I can't afford it while I'm at uni

I graduate in June though, and if all goes to plan I'll be working very close to home so I can live with me parents, buy a day to day car and this one will be tuned further, along with nice fresh paint

So, it should be painted by PVS 2010 hopefully

Well the rocker cover gasket was replaced over Christmas, and very recently a whole new set of rear drums and rear wheel bearings.

I also won this on ebay this afternoon:

Mmmm Airdam

I'm having the same kind of problem finding a place for my BMC cold air feed to go, the XE engine bay really doesn't have much room

I might move the BMC feed down into the lower grille now Gregg, as the weather is better and there shouldn't be any deep puddles!

Catch up Ryan I fitted the all those Lexmaul parts last June

Marc, I always make regular updates and yea, I'm very happy with the bumper

Scotty, yes it was Marklaruk's, but I wont it on eBay on Friday!

I went out for a bit of a drive across the Gower today too, and took a few pictures down a farm track:

I had a little disagreement with a gorse buch while I turned round too, and got a big scrape on the Irmscher splitter - luckily, it turned out to just be dirt

The track was a little muddy too

And finally, a slightly arty picture:
