morning!
Got a new job!
well i cant hand my notice in at my current place untill i have somthing in writing from new job, as im not being messed about! its happend before..!
So im going to collect a 'Job offer' letter Tommorow, is that significant enough to hand my notice in at current job do you think?
i did ask new job for contract but they just said about giving me an offer letter, tbh new job wants/needs me to start asap. and ideally need to handmy notice in asap so i can start like next week!
also,
a weeks notice is it 5 or 7 days!? and i finish work Tommorow at half 3 then going to get letter then iw as going to go back to work and hand notice in dated from the Weds! so 1 week would be weds to weds? im confused!

well i have 3 days booked and confirmed, but at my job you earn your holiday , i dont know if anyone else's is like that? so i have actually taken 'so far' more than i have earnt, so surely if i took it as holiday i would lose out?

but does the 5 daysinclude day off?
also cut off day for pay is this week so i will be getting afull 4 weeks pay next week. plus whatevr days i work up untill.

5 Days is a standard week even if working part time.

If you had spare holidays then you could have handed your notice in and then used the holidays left over to work the notice, while you start at your new job.

You could hand your notice in and then ring in sick while you start your other job??

Flippp!! - Hello.

I think its 5 hun, 5 working days as the saying is

But depends if u work weekends to!!

Ask your new job people for a letter to state the basic that you have been offered a new job,, They should be able to do so.

Dont hand your notice in untill you have somethink in your hands

As you dont need to hand your notice in thinking your going to start a new job then the new job people change there mind!!
