just benn reading all this an i cant beleive what im reading!, if it was me i would just sit bk an wait i know it will be hard mate but if you did see them driving about what would you do, chase em? then i could turn nasty, if you did keep up with it them whats to stop them ramming you off road or mashing you an what ever car your in, they aint got nothing to lose just remember that.
also remember how the goverment are saying prisons are over crouded, well even if they got caught they know all they will get is a slap on the wrist an comunity service or what ever so they aint gonna be bothered by some thing there all ready doing for some other crime they have commited just keep this in mind....

Cheers for all your comments guys.
The car has been missing since saturday night.
I will find out where is was being tuned but there was 3 other renault 5's being tuned at the same time.
I spoke to my mate last night and the thieves havent contacted him since asking for £300, so he is holding out for another phone call.
He spoke to the police and told them everything and they have now realised that this issue is more than a stolen car. They have now actually realised that more than a car is at stake.
In respect to my mate going to meet them, that is an avenue he won't be pursuing unless he has the back-up of the police. He has come to the terms that he probably wont see his car again which he found extremely hard but like he said, he's insured.
He asked me to thank you all for keeping an eye out for his car and thanks for all the kind comments, he is truely grateful.
Its coming up to a week now and its looking like the car is in a lock-up somewhere as it hasnt been spotted since sunday morning.

Just had a phone call off my mate.
His car has been found by the police but they wont tell him what conidition it is in. He has to go to liverpool to get it.
I shall let you know what state it is in. Thanks for all your support guys.

Well I have read the entire thread and it's just my opinion, but when I have alot of Indian and Pakistani mates who know people it's just my choice as Bedfordshire police where useless when I had a mate was assulted, we had to sort it out ourselfs.

Just spoke to my mate and its not good news. The car is a total loss. It was found burnt out and there is nothing left to salvage, so this renault 5 is dead and will never be seen again.
