went to garage today before the nightshift...got a few bits here and there buttoned up, i dummy mounted the oil cooler so i could measure up to make some brackets for it, i had the idea of using the aircon rad that came with the car but its a no-go,so going to fit the standard sport one i cadged off LEE-SRI's carabic blue nail
im also still waiting on my bonnet to return from the bodyshop so i can refit the aerocatches and brackets to the slam panel,im really hoping to have this runnig this weekend-allbeit with just the manifold on just to make sure she runs okay before i go any further- heres a little pic,it shows where im gonna mount the oil cooler
ignore the tatty rocker cover etc as my polished one arrived today (thanks pagey) all the bling will be fitted when she's finished

today i got busy!! i fitted the following..
manifold
alternator belt
x14xe rad (non-aircon this time lol)
modified the fan to clear the maifold
fitted the PAS pump and pipe work
made the brackets for the mocal oil cooler and plumbed her in
refitted the bumper bar
made/adapted a strut brace to fit around the old power cap and clear everything
and a few other little bits i cant remember....
i was gonna fire her over over but after putting some juice in her- the first 3 turn overs the bloody battery was dead-ITS ON CHARGE AND WILL HOPEFULLY START TOMORROW

then ill get the gear linkage setup and put the header tank/battery tray back in
here's a couple of piccies anyways...

the strut brace has had the centre peice moved foreward and im gonna make some shims and use some threaded bar cut neatly to bolt it all together-it wont be as strong but its mainly for show to be honest
happy reading

Looking good mate

Is it ok to turn an engine over without the header tank and coolant pipes plummed in then?
