Grangemouth not bad a slight covering, but 15 mins up the road it's a nighmare. Main roads haven't been gritted

There's a steep hill into my street, the mini was just sliding about with no room to manouvre because of parked cars parked on the hill. Its a sheet of ice under the snow! Ended up diagonally across the road, I was shitting it !!!

i was driving in it last night at 3am on the m23 and a27 had to stop as it got to about 6 inches deep on the main carriage way and it was just wheelspin spin spin spin so i decided to start doing snow angels in the middle of the motorway lol and it took me 6hrs to do a 80mile round trip

I want deep snow to play in cos we never get good snow. However, I've yet to drive in snow, so after I drive in this inch or two that we do have, I'll get back to you.

Shell I had a slippery experience on a steep hill this morning, it wasn't pleasant believe me!!

Just got this email at work

The weather forecast is currently predicting snowfall overnight (between 9pm to 9am) with accumulations of up to 10cm in higher areas.

The Road Services team will be working throughout the night to keep main roads clear. Staff are advised to avoid minor roads where possible as they will take longer to clear.

While there is the potential that travel to work in the morning could be difficult, staff should make every effort to attend. Any difficulties experienced in getting to work will be dealt with through the council's severe weather arrangements.

Staff are advised to listen to local radio stations for up to date information on travel conditions.

Our current information for tomorrow (03/02/09) is that the snow will clear during the day.

Coming down slowly here, was only about an inch this morning. I really hope it chucks it down later AFTER rush hour though.

Chump for coming into work as most of the people who live only 3 miles down the road from work said they couldn't get in, and yet I travelled only 20 miles with no problems. People taking advantage of the boss not bothering coming in either
