I'd still go for the Lambo, but those R8's look stunning. It'd be white for me with the black wheels.

Neither.

I personally would never own an R8...as a few poeple have said complete posers car.

GTR, however much i'd dream of having one, i'd hate driving it. After reading the autocar review GTR vs RS i came to the same conclusion as the writer. Even though the GTR cannot be beaten for driving performance, you can't use an ounce of it unless your out on track. Within 4 seconds you could loose your license. The appeal and fun would wear off and the monotony of sitting on 30, 50, 60 and 70 limit roads in a car that could quite happily abliterate anything besides it would be so soul destroying.

That review ruined my dream

But in that sense, any car with a bit of power will be soul destroying. And a £3,000 Motorbike could lose you your license in 3 seconds

What the writer was trying to say, and in my point of i'd have neither, is that..yes, you could have a tremendously powerful car..but in reality you can never really use it, too expensive to take out on track and not really fun. Whilst we have the laws we have on our roads, there is little point in buying an expensive car other than showing off you can afford an expensive car.

Going by that though everybody should just buy an old metro.

If i'm ever in the position to buy either the last thing coming into my mind will be whether I can use it to it's full potential on the local motorway or not.

Its a flash looking motor, but its also a very quick and capeable car. So it still does what a sports car should.

Also, surely Lambo servicing will be ridiculous. Don't they go through clutches every 10k or something stupid?

GTR

Every R8 i've seen looks like its being driven by a proper bellend.
And they look Crap IMO.

Though if the Porsche is brought into the equation, then it'd be a tough choice between that and the GTR

Havent got time for a toy anymore me so its gonna be another RS6 soon

Out of those two its the R35 for me although the R8's do look nice! My mate Scott has got a black R35, been in it a couple of times and have been up against it once on a private motorway from 70 to 170

when did i say i was goin gto get one

just asked which you'd prefer.

I know Fee wants an R8.

I think if we needed a daily car we'd prob go for something nice. Maybe next year, i dunno, see what happens.

I think i'd rather pay mid 40's for a GTR next year over mid 60-70 for an R8
