Good news, phoned the insurance again, spoke to a different person about buying it back. He says thats fine, he cancelled the salvage request on it, so I just gotta get it back to mine. Dont know how much its going to cost me though, he says £200 max, but id say much less than that for an N-reg 106.

Serious strippage then.

If you're stripping it then its actually better if they categorise it higher, ie. B as opposed to C or D as they're generally cheaper to buy back. I think you need a licence to buy other peoples' salvage at cat B, not sure if you do for your own car.

It might be that they originally categorised it as B then reduced that to C to legally sell it to you.

Looks like you had a good go at the strip anyway, not sure if they would approve while its their car now not yours!!

Its all sorted now anyway, they arnt even sending up an assesor I told them myself that its going to be written of as its twisted.

Theres wheel couriers on ebay, will be cheaper as its only 4 wheels rather than 4 wheels and tyres too.

My wheels were sent to me via Royal Mail, no tyres, 2 in a box and it cost £24 in total.

Well its almost stripped, rolled it on its side to take the beam off, it doesnt look pretty

Forgot to take photos as I was exceedinly busy, but will take some when I go over to stick the engine in the back of the van.

Still loads left on that. Could have had the doors, windows out etc...I'm stripping my old red Fiesta to a bare shell atm, it's awesome fun

Doors were both badly damaged, all that was left really was the boot and windows, but its unlikely they will sell tbh.
