joe, the games room will have the tv with sky, ps3, xbox and my computer in there. i need to paint the walls, buy some carpet and a sofa. perhaps something to put the tv and consoles on. the only problem is that my brother is supposed to be decorating his bedroom and will be moving into the other bedroom/future games room while he does it. so i can't really get it done until he sorts his room out :/
these are the lens i was looking at
This one, although i can get it for £180
and either
This one at £135
or
This one at £235
Just not sure whether the F1.4 is £100 better than the F1.8 what do you reckon?

when i was getting the 50mm for mine (ended up taking it back) but still all the people i spoke to about it said the 1.4 isnt that much of an improvment but i suppose its still going to be better in lower lighting but 1.8 is still pretty good.
shame that my 70-300 wont fit yours as i dont use it
hmmm tempted to get the fisheye adapter... hmmm.

yeah i've just been thinking about the 70-300, when would i actually use it? may just for go a 50mm and look at getting it later maybe if needed if i went for the 1.8 i'd probably still have enough to sort the room out too tbh, if my brother would just get his act together
why did you end up taking it back if you don't mine me asking

joe: what kind of thing do you want... ie you could use a higher f number and a longer shutter speed but the clouds would move so would be kinda of cool.
or a low f number and higher iso to freeze the sky as such...
andy: yeh i bought the 70-300 with the aim of doing track days and i have to say its only bin on the camera once or twice in the year or so of having it .
took the 50mm back as i paid over the odds for it (jessops) mainly because i just wanted to try it before actually considering buying it so went to a shop i knew i could take it back to but also because it was stupidly noisey when focusing. was a nice lens tbh just a shame it was noisey.
loving the 17-70 i bought a few months ago
