He's got a job interview. Marks and Spencers.
He should reject the job if he's offered it and stay here for the banter.

You can use any disk/ISO of windows 7 (for example a Professional) to install any version of windows 7 version (assuming you have the right key, so you can install Starter/Home Prem/Ultimate)

Awesome So basically all disks are the same and it decides what one to install when you put the key in?

Buy a basic one and download am Ultimate key then

You can also install it without any key and use it for 3 months by resetting the 30 day trial period.

Or just download and install an ultimate one because it's equally as illegal

Yeah but downloading massive ISO's takes forever (in general).

I imagine anyway, because I've certainly never tried

Just wondering.
Some people pay for 8meg, and don't actually get 8meg. (Due to where they live and the closest terminal thing).

The closest terminal thing

At least have an idea of what you are talking about before asking stupid questions.

The point here was Kirsty had bought a key for Home Premium and I only had install media for Professional on me.

Using this small trick, I've install Home Premium onto her laptop using a Professional ISO (on a USB key) but it's fully working and activated using the Home Premuim key.

Found it quite amusing that Microshaft ships all the Retail DVD's with files ready for all of the versions.

May install "starter edition" for shits and giggles on a virtual machine, see how shit it is
