The handbrake is stupid, the ignition is on the wrong side and turns the wrong way. The gear box is like 3 miles about from the steering wheel when in first. You sit touching the door with the right hand side of your body! Crazy things. I dont know how he went from astra gsi (lil g just took it off his hands) to one of these, its a 1988 truckman with a 300 tdi disco engine!

But a do like some of the ones that come out with us. One lad has a 2005 110 with a td5, running bigger turbo, intercooler and 240 bhp

It has leather etc. Another guy has a 57 plate truckman with the puma engine in and they seem alot better with the 6 speed box.

I've steered clear of this thread up till now, but I'm bored so I read it

Totally confused what you want though tbh Dean!

7k miles p/a is fook all, and tbh your insurance isn't that horrendous? I have to agree with mattk tbh - if you don't want a car to enjoy, literally to get from A-B, then just get a cheap car, not spend £5k on it!

If you want big and comfortable, get a Beemer / Merc / Audi

Really don't get what you actually want? Do you know?!

ffs I don't do 7k per annum, I do 15k it's my work mileage only that is 7k.

I still want to enjoy the car I drive, but don't want it to cost the earth to run and use. Hence why I think a 1.4 Corsa would be ideal. Cheap to run, enough poke to cope on the motorways and if I get the right one, it'll be a nice place to sit.

Just go for a ZetecS TDCi pal, great wee cars and handle superbly on eibachs.

Get it mapped by RS tuning in leeds and its quicker than a standard 106 gti with a lot of torque but still does over 45mpg
