What an absolutely funny read its like being back at school in the class room.

On the up though.. People say corsa's dont handle but to be fair alot is down to the driver. I cant get on youtube at work but go on youtube and search for "bruce taxi evo vs corsa turbo" and tell me that corsa isn't shifting on a TRACK

i just think people cannot accept that corsas arent as bad as people make out. a well set up corsa or nova is actually extremely good at handling. ffs, they rally them and have for years.

Fact is though Col, spend that time and effort on a better chassis as standard, and it'll go better.

I've seen the corsa vs bruce taxi vid. Corsa is silly quick down the straights, and hugly looses out round the bends.

Simple maths really dude. Weight over front wheel vs weight over rear. Corsa is at a huge disadvantage, and will understear. To get it to turn in well, you have to scrub off more speed to enter the corners, by which point a properly setup car would already be on the corsas ass and having to slow down even more. The corsa then exits the corner, gets in a straight line, and uses its huge power to weight to fly down the straight to pull a gap again.

I.E that turbo corsa gets stuffed every time under braking, mid corner speed (ok 4x4 wins here), and its patchy and skittish as hell. He missis most apex's, and is on the absolute limit of the corsas handling. The evo is calm, stable, and looks like it could go harder.

Any car can be made to handle better if you spend enough time at it.

I aint knocking a LET corsa, they are silly quick, but anyone who says a LET corsa is mega round the bends is as delluded and blind as I was when I was younger and obsessed with my corsa

i dont think anyone is saying a corsa let is mega round the bends though? you can make them handle not bad. but its never ever going to be as good as modern cars with better chasis to begin with. you cant argue that. and nobody has.

its delluded to say take them both down the backroads. as everyone knows what wil happen. its nothing new. its not news. nobody cares.

im my case, if i wanted an impreza, id go buy one. i dont. so didnt.

Yup, with the standard engines in them. Not by putting another 70kg over the front wheels.

Nova is a better handling base than the corsa. Corsa 1400 though proved to be a good competitor in its class.

My Corsavan is crap down back roads, it's too bouncy. But on a nice smooth round a bout it ain't too bad

But I do think you are very limited with powerr on a FWD chassie made nearly 20 years ago.

But they are loads of fun
