I like them actually. Great engine, good chassis, quite cute looking too.

Donna hates them though. I can see why, the interior dash it the most boring dash evaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr ;lol:

335 is better, but again, she hates the dash. I'd love a 335 just for the engine

If it's a woman that's been driving it about she without a doubt use a can't use the clutch properly, that's probably broken the box.

Not been on for ages to be honest and only used to go in the S3 section which was busy enough. Don't really know of any more.

Also for what its worth, I know they are dear blah blah but I reckon if you get an S3 you will find it to be a league ahead of your VXR. I may be proven wrong but Audi make superb cars.

I see the S3 as a more refined, comfy softer version of the Astra. Im expecting it to be quick, but smooth and not as much as a drivers car as the astra. We've got a test of one of a brand new one this weekend so will have some more input to compare the two then (driven one of the early 225 S models that a friend had, but it was some time ago).

Daimo, you and Donna should look past the badge and spec an octavia vrs turbo up to the max. Cracking cars. Even the superb, again another great car. We couldnt believe just how well the skodas drive now. Save a lot of mmoney over the equivilant audi/vw and get virtually the same stuff

Oliver - Nice, but those Insignia VXR are ruddy awful on fuel, and its a daily drive. Doesn't have to be brilliant, but these things are epically bad on fuel.

Stu - Nahhh I am one of the first to back a Skoda. Bloody good cars, but again we don't really like the dash. I wouldn't mind a Octava VRS especially in Blue. Don wasn't keen though. I wouldn't mind a Fabia VRS for work, have to see how the 2nd hand prices fair when the new VRS Fabia comes out soon.

Warren, yeah cheers. The boxes on ebay im not sure on, and tbh although its the same box, I wouldn't want to put the closer ratio box on. In all honesty, I think shes already chosen the Audi before even driving the bugger. But doing some research last night, its pretty quick. Bit like a grown up hot hatch, which for her job would suit her perfect.

tbh, im not going to knock it

Signed the gearbox failure post, but I doubt many of those from VXRonline have posted on there. Theres a good few more failures on the site. It is a well known problem clearly, and I think its piss poor Vauxhall are ignoring it.
