You know how one thing leads to another though! make it a minter and tinker with the engine a little bit to release the noise

Dad dropped the door he got for free off yesterday so i set about putting it on today

Before:

During

After

Managed to slavage my colour coded door strip from the old door

Couple of problems :
Door isn't metallic and doesnt have the flake in the paint that mine has. So will get this sprayed (hopefully tom if i can sort out lifts and he is free of course)
I think the impact has bent the bottom hinge pin (hence the rubstrip not matching up as the door is sitting 'dropped' so will get this done when the door is sprayed.

That's more like it

You can kind of see in the last pic that it's a bit darker Much better though!

You still got the 350?

Yeah tried lifting/jacking and even putting a wheel bolt in the door as some people have done to bend it back Might take the top hinge off again and just lift it up while it's attached at the bottom and see how it goes.

YES!! I'm itching to drive it

Dave - I do indeed, it has started crunching in 5th and 6th so is going in to Nissan on wednesday to get sorted under warranty. once it is back I'll lower the price a bit and get it gone.

ahhh gotcha would ave got done for:

No insurance
No tax
And driving witout a door

Interior isn't what i wanted, i much prefer black, taking the dash out is an absolute pig though. May look to changing it when the heater matrix fails as they all seem to at some point

Interior is better than black. Contrast will look the tits if you get it all cleaned up.

I might be tempted to change the door cars and keep the lighter leather inserts tho?

Project this Gervais

Big block of wood and a jack will sort that out.

Interior defo needs cleaning by a pro, the contrast does look pretty good in the flesh just hate the grey dash The doorcard idea may look good but then i would need to swap the dash as thats a Greyish colour

Dave - Tried that and it ended up lifting the car and getting no where got two new hinged from ebay for a £5 so when it goes to get sprayed i will get them put on if it cant be sorted.

Put some rear handles on yesterday to make it more secure.

Handle is coming up alot lighter on the cam Will be getting them sprayed aswell when the time comes.

Trying to get some Hella headlights from someone on ed38 so front will look like similar to this if he doesnt pull out.

Log book should be here over the next couple of days so I'm hoping to have it on the road by the weekend
