With money... which is exactly my point, what Walker did was similar to what Roman did, ploughed money into a club for success. I'm not saying I'm against it, but just that I agree that on the whole money=success, what I am debating however is that you can not include Man UTD in that group of teams that "had money chucked at them."

When did Walker do this? Was it before or after Roman 'revolutionised' football?

I agree with the United point though.

Chelsea = Roman
Blackburn = Walker
Citeh = Sheikh Halabalalabala
United = ? No rich benefactor that I can see. Being a PLC and all that.

It's not about benefactors, it's about buying success.

So how did they do it? If you earn the money you deserve to spend the money. I don't have a problem with teams building themselves up to be massive. Unlike the aforementioned teams who went from nothing to something overnight.

Where the money comes from is irrelevant, you either buy the success or you don't. Even the teams with a benefactor as you put it are doing it for future returns, there is method in the madness, speculate to accumulate and all that.

Only Arsenal have done it on a modest shoe string budget! Go on Arsene, rape those dirty Manc twats.

SSN: So, *******, you've just won the CL. Will you be investing the prize money in the squad?

*******: No, we can't do that. That would be seen as buying future success.

So? It just emphasises the fact he is a transfer Market GOD. What was their net spend over a 10 year period at one point? Something like £9m whilst Bacon Faced Twats was well over £200m...

Case closed, thank you and goodnight. Now get to bollocks you blow up glory hunting shitehawk!

Had to cheat on that too after the initial buying success spree, come second and win it? It should be called the Runners-up League TBH.
