Im not Catholic, but I think its a historic moment in my lifetime.. regardless of which relgion I believe in its pretty awesome its all happening in Glasgow.

End of the day, the British public would happily queue up for Jade Goody's autograph, the chance to see the Pope is too good for some people to miss, interested in god or not

I think you're maybe under-estimating the strength of some peoples faith. The guy is about as charismatic as a fart in a trance and still hundreds of thousands of people went to see him.
