No nothing wrong with the car and he is a known driver* within our group of mates...

*350 bhp ibiza cupra
205 gti mi16 track car that he drives the wheels off on internet approved tracks

I wouldnt even bother trying to argue with the internet.

Tell us how that is possible? Or is that some sort of 1337 code to get internet approval points

Internet approved - its like the matrix but everything corsa related on a corsa website is shit

No it's not, Corsa's are good at what they are, a cheap hatch, there not a hot hatch and never will be.

XE's are quick, around the same as a VTS/182/CTR in a straight line which is good, but without considerable modifications they don't handle. I've had two, one for 2 1/2 years and had ARBs and all sorts and when i changed to my VTS it was better in standard form IMO, direction change, cornering speed, braking all better.

I dont see how it happens in real life though.

Corsa weighs more, isnt made as standard to cope with a heavier engine up front, and has less bhp.

So how can it beat something lighter, better chassis, and more bhp?

It's not rocket science though to drive a FWD car with a bit of power. If your mates all have heavy feet and only use the throttle as a on off switch then no doubt you will pull on them round bends. That doesn't make it handle better though..

If i was to say for example my old 1600 corsa sport pissed over an ek9 through the twisties and on Some stretches would get me and Anyone slated because of the over exaguration. Ive never owned either of those but we all know the corsa would never piss over one in a way of it just leaving it on every road.

Also down to driver. I was quicker through some corners in my 182 at Cadwell, than my mates dad in his 415bhp Evo 9 on Tein coilovers. Due to driver, hes not as confident, i know full well with the same driver, in both cars, the Evo would kill the Clio in every way possible.

Just cause you can keep up with a few of your mate's in other cars, doesnt mean Corsa's can handle.

Exactly my point, i've gone past countless cars like exiges etc on track, but i know with equal drivers it would leave me.

Im never going to win this discussion im just saying what happend...

My mate who owns the CTR had a 400bhp sapphire last year so can drive a car too...

Its not rocket science no but tricky trying to stop a valver spinning its cunt off at the same time as trying to put some power down as im sure you will know aswell

Yes, but that still doesn't make him a good driver.

regardless i go back to saying equal drivers, do you think a car with a better engine, better brakes and better chassis can be beaten by one with worse of all of those?

And that's not slagging off Corsa's, it's the same as comparing the CTR to a R26R it won't win in standard form with equal drivers.

Exactly. I passed a stripped 182 on TB's in my standard 182. Obviously due to drivers.

Is the civic tuned??

Scott has just swapped his 182 for a CTR and i swear the Clio was faster.Infact he proved that on the way to see the Civic when another CTR fancied his chances but couldnt get away.Given enough road and balls and the right gear in the 1st place(4th instead of 5th) we would have passed him with ease.
