Current account is around 800 atm i think (havent checked) however by the end of the of the month will be around 200 (i hope).

savings wise i still have just under 7k after buying my car.

Im kind of in the same, but less, boat as Ben.

My dad used to work for ICI and when he died 10 years a go, all his pension etc went towards me and my sister until we where 21. I'm 21 in March and looking at getting between £17,000-£18,000.

When I got it at 18, I couldn't touch it until I was 21 - my grandma had requested this in her will. All my mates were expecting me to go out and blow it on a flash car etc. But I didn't. My Dad basically sat me down and said its your money to do what you want with but if you blow it all you'll definatley regret it. So I listened to my parents for the first time ever!!

Now I try and forget its there. Apart from buying my cars with no finance everything else i've bought I could have done without the money. Okay my mortgage would be higher but still manageable.

I got £5k compensation when I turned 18 from school. I wish they'd have given me it when I was 21 instead. I wasted the whole lot and have barely a thing to show for it. Could really do with the cash these days
