Flash on an apple product??
I do want one but I really have no use for it whatsoever. It's almost just to avoid the hassle of booting up the laptop

You're wrong. It's not even been a year since the original iPad was released, so there's nothing to "stick to"

It's close enough to a year, there have been a load of tablets announced in the past couple of weeks, 2 of the big ones being the Xoom and the Playbook, they'll have no small part in Apple's decision to release this a couple of months earlier than they did last year.

Right been wanting one of these for a while now. $499 dollars for the 16gb Wifi (dont need 3G as can use Mywi and don't need storage) which is what, just over £300 from America....
Or get a 1st get one as they should come down to around £250 (as you've been able to get them for around £300 on ebay since xmas).
I suppose dual core, thinner, lighter and cameras are worth an extra £50.

Lol @ people thinking Apple will release 2 iPads in one year. They will want to milk this for as much money as they can after spending out on all the deveoplment costs. Generating just 6 months worth of revenue would hardly have been worth them bringing it out and an iPad 3 would make the iPad 1 obsolete.

Typical Apple, take a simple accessory and somehow come up with a simple idea to ensure that 95% of iPad owners will buy your product over a competitors and probs that 95% of people will buy in general

TBF its genuis. Im amazed how Apple come up with these ideas that are so simple yet nobody else has thought about. What confused me was that surely a case made of magnets can't be good for some of the components inside the device...

It really is mate, like ridiculously simple yet in one fell swoop theyve made the vast vast majority of other covers compeltely undesireable!

TBF, noone else came up with the idea of a magnetic case before, because the iPad 1 isn't magnetic itself so wouldn't work.

The first iPad was announced January 2010 and released April 2010. This model will be on sale March 25th in Europe so they are sticking to the annual cycle, more or less.

The white one looks total gash too. Makes it look like one of those Argos digital photo frames with a cheap VGA display on it. Eugh.

Not much if you do it on dedicated hardware.

I'm not underestimating anything... but surely Apple knew they were developing the A5 processor? Why didn't they hold out a little longer with the latest Apple TV and include the A5 to allow 1080p?

No he's not
I meant he's wrong about them releasing 1 per year... the ipad 2 will be released (not just announced) less than a year since the 1st ipad, so yes... he's wrong about that - technically
