Do you not think that is quite bad for a 1.6 engine in a small reasonably light car?! Anything under 30mpg is thirsty to me.

They are very thirsty around town, worse than my mapped Astra VXR I'd say as thirsty as the Corsa VXR.

But long journeys it's fine sitting at 90mph on way home from Germany can get to Calais with still quarter if a tank

I'd say for a small car that's thirsty.

I don't have a clue on the price of Works, I would imagine they hold their price well. Can't really tell from the photos about the condition. What have you seen?

even the special edition ones are starting to be quite common, maybe some are just normal ones with stickers and stuff, but i seem to notice lots of the "trying to look funky" ones around now

good to know as speedo position is the main reson I've been looking for ones with nav/chrono as it means the speedo is in the 'normal' place.

what are the front seats like to live with?

they don't look like they could hold an average sized man in particularly well?

they look just like my puma seats which are terrible.

Thought the same from pictures aswell but I felt quite comfortable in the one I test drove, was surprised. Mate sat in the back and said they were more comfy than they look too.

Quite spacious in side in general aswell.
