Just get the E36 The E46 will be expensive to run, as you're well aware. The Astra will become boring within seconds. It's a completely different kind of car. Abarth 500 would be pretty cool but it'll be just like the Clio?

E36's as good as they were in the day are just nasty cheap ass council cars now, no doubt about it.

There is a shocking amount of chav'd ones, there is no doubt. That's why they are about £3k A properly maintained one is still cool imo

I think there starting to turn round from that status & are becoming more classic/rare??? Dont often see a nice one around, before long all the council road rot boxes will bescrapped & I think the good ones will go up in value, only being owned by enthusiasts.
I'd have one!!

Shame you've not got the Clio....they would have px'd!
Needs diamond cut motorsport wheels in place of the black ones....

Keep it then
The Astra is a pointless choice, unless your budget is low.. The E36 will just be a can of worms..
The E46, nice motor but again impractical.
As for the Fiat?? Just why?

That's owned and was restored by a detailer though (or was) and is kept in a carcoon. Never going to be able to buy one that is anything like as nice as that.

I look at that and think "couple of K and a bottle of turtle wax", nothing but an old beemer to me. Maybe it's because my mum had 3 of them when I was a kid so they seem old to me.

Maybe so but the haldex works well enough for us non expert rally drivers like yourself
You can upgrade it to be 50/50 which is less gay though I suppose

I can never see what the problem is with Quattro myself, but I suppose I wouldn't with actually owning one.

I don't think it has tbh. It's still as solid as I remember. Ergonomics are perfect too.
That red one is stunning. I need £6.5k

Solid for sure, but too much plastic and too drab. I couldnt sit in front of it all the time.

jambo i just took deposit/sold my v reg 225 quattro for £3200.
eck - e36 ancient looks, and just about every e46 before 2001 i see is rusty so i hold no hope for a e36
