Oh right, sorry, you're basing it on one person you know. I stand corrected.
I did say it wouldn't apply to everyone. I know his particular circumstances very well. I know others on 6-figures and I know they drive 911s, Aston Martins etc but I don't know the rest of their circumstances so I couldn't comment.

I've changed my mind, I'd get my dream car. A Fiat 500 Abarth, perhaps I'd spend the extra and get the Essesse kit for it too.

hear so many people say this and i bet as soon as you got an audi/bmw/whatever you wouldn't bother with the ford.

and also, i drive a ford puma because i spent 20k on a deposit for a house. that 20k could've got me a nice motor but theres more to life than cars, you'll realise one day.
bills also come to about 1800 a month all in, that could also get me a serious bit of kit if i wanted to finance something, but why?
if i was on 100k+ pa i would just get a weekend toy like an exige and a top of the range mondeo diesel for commuting and family stuff.

Agreed. In fact I hate my car, I'm ashamed to drive it. My next car will hopefully be a big improvement though.
