i always say this to myself on the road, a 90mph corner is a 90mph corner, regardless of what car you have.

i reckon there is a maximum speed for most corners and most decent cars can do it, even if there is 200bhp difference, as long as you have the suspension, brakes, tyres and skills there is no reason a corrado can't keep up with something that looks faster on paper.

providing you both enter a corner at the same speed and take it at the same speed thats maybe right, however when approaching the corner or leaving it then the corrado will still be slower then most standard corsa gsi's

OH FOR FUCK SAKE

This wasnt a test.....

This simple (but very fucking confusing for some) comparison was made after the laps were done..... the laps were not done to make the fucking comparison

The fucking graphs are simple enough - DELTA-T = TIME DIFFERENCE, look at the the difference in lap time get bigger/smaller.... whooooo

what is the point of this thread?

So I'm glad I'm having a sensible discussion about this somewhere else.

Also need your thoughts on an Ebay link Adam if you can check that out.

I was just about hitting 100 on the fastest bit of there

Turn 3 is typically flat as well unless you get a very exit from 2.

Fee was down to 70mph (entry) on the 1:19 lap... but accelerated and then slowed again to 75 near the kerb (nae grip!!!)

GPS speed

My Impreza was doing 118mph GPS along the back in Jan or Feb

her laps at anglesey are hilarious.... no grip, understeer, wild oversteer... we had to set the car geometry by eye - disaster weekend!

look on www.youtube.com/TrackScotland

The car has a lot more power than yours - so was making up for the lack of corner speed

her quickest lap is the one right at the end - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq1jRfalsR8

she simply grew a set of balls and went round the curve at 130+

She was a lot slower on other corners - i.e 15mph slower into the sweeping right hander before the high speed curve.

Out-takes - shambles of a car on way past their best tyres - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1MILJ1ZK3Q

the only way this "comparison" would work is if you drove the skyline round as is and then the same day adjust the map for less power and you drive it round again

all i have taken from this thread is the fact your jelous that adios leon is faster than your gtr

John - you're cleary a retard.

'the only way this "comparison" would work' ???

A comparison is simply a COMPARISON. I have compared two laps and taken some info from it. My comparison clearys 'works'

It is not a scientific test.... the laps were not caried out for the basis of comparisons (or rather as a test)....

jelous of adiohead - aye. Jelous of you too I think.

Here is another comparison... yes a comparison, not a test!

This time it shows how a lighter, lower powered car, can beat a much faster more powerfull car on a short twist/slow track layout.

Both cars are on 888's
Both laps are on the say day - same conditions

Nothing scientific, nothing conclusive - but the corner speeds are very different on this track, and the Impreza's gearing helps it out with its lack of sheer power. Speeds above 60mph and it starts to get left for dust.

because of all the other variables you cant say an extra 250bhp or what ever is 4.5 seconds faster in the straights...

you are clearly the retard who is overlooking the fact that every one is saying his comparison is shit and flawed from the start

the adio bit was sarcasm both when he said it and me, you could compare it to this statement if you like

"AK is a scientific genious"

p.s i dont care if any of the above words are spelt wrong
