That's just vBulletin. They have far too many forums and in my experience vBulletin is bloated and fairly slow, especially compared to the lightweight CS.

Why does someone need to pick them? Could it not be decided by a poll? Then the feature car would be whichever the majority off the community believe deserved it.

i just meant the forum lay out. not the whole site. they do have far too much stuff, like their 'whats new' and all that crap.
just thought the way 'projects/media' was in a section and all that.

Entry thread where members post their car if they fancy there chances, then all the entries into 1 poll big poll? Although it could end up being quite long I suppose

you'd just have to put a time limit on the vote

Pointless voting while the poll is still 'hackable'
Sounds like good news there Sam.

I don't think the plan is to merge sites like puma people with cs, they will remain seperate..

Yeah it is mate, they are quite up for it at Vauxhall because they'd rather people buy their parts at a discounted rate from the dealer than pattern parts from local motor factors etc. - dealers get a rebate on the difference in price between retail and Trade Club prices anyway so it makes no difference to them. Win win situation all round I think.

Puma site will be separate as far as I'm aware.
corsagsi.co.uk is going to be merged with CS, with everything from both sites staying here.

Puma People will stand alone.
CS & CGSi will merge.
Weekend Racer will still deal with track days and could potentially take on other cross-marque events although that isn't viable at present.

How will they actually merge? All content and users will just appear here?

Need to weed out the duplicates first but basically, yes.
It's not so simple because I want to preserve the links which are already indexed so that people don't see a broken page when come from a CGSi page in a search engine, but what you say is basically the case.
