Fucking SIMS and Solus is the bain of my life. I'm fucking Solus off completely and deploying it using Remote App after Christmas. Can't use an MSI installer then it can fuck off IMO

I administered console SIMS on a 10 base BNC network of 386s once.

Sims can be "rolled out" by GPO with no problems. All you need to do is sequence the installations in the correct order, and write some startup scripts. It will look after it's self from then on, providing that you allow teacher accounts the ability to update it when needed

Give the teacher accounts admin rights? Yeah right I've avioded SIMS for 7 years but now I've started at a school that uses it
