England did not play OK, they went through the motions and played directly into Honduras' game plan.
They need to start with Sterling and Barkley next weekend to have any chance of breaking Italy down.

i dont think roy wants to break italy down.
i honestly feel the way we played tonight is his game plan for italy, nothing too attacking, keep it simple and hope we dont waste the glorious chances again

This. They need to use quick, direct players and give Pirlo no time on the ball. Pirlo will be the winning, or losing of the game.

With the way Honduras were playing, Roy would have told them to take it easy. A nothing friendly before the worlds biggest tournament doesn't need 100%. An injury to Gerrard, Sturridge, Rooney or the likes would have been nothing short of a disaster.

Worryingly I didn't make it past 11 o'clock, which as it was a meaningless friendly I didn't mind, but as warm up for the big game next week, I am poorly prepared They need to organise another friendly for me

This sort of behaviour could make an England Vs Argentina game interesting this time around...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27383488
I'm unsure if England can even meet Argentina due to the layout of the tournament.

The game would be a fucking riot
I'll be asking for constant nightshift over the next few weeks to get the games in.

How fit is fit? Even 100% fitness is always cagey with an Arsenal player. I swear they must still use leeches.

Welbeck injury scare.
Where did everyone get their way charts from? I was counting on the free Sun that everyone is getting over the next two days having one in, but apparently it doesnt.
And 3. What team is going to score the most goals? 888bet have a good offer on, pick your team, place a £5 bet pre game and you get a free fiver every time they score, when they get knocked out you move on to that team

Same for both teams, there is no excuse.
It'll be in better nick than that you'd imagine anyway, lot of scaremongering and paranoia going on in Brazil about everything.

That pitch is fairly shocking. My local ground is better than that, quite a monumental screwup

Doesn't look that shocking to me, way over exaggerated as everything is when it comes to England.

Looks bad for a world stage event, but it won't affect Englands chances of not winning the World Cup.
