Surprisingly not that hot in work today or yesterday. Probably just used to it. Braw in winter and bearable in summer due to having walk in freezers which come in handy for more than just freezing things.

Handy for locking idiots inside when they start talking about leasing a Vauxhall Corsa.

Anyone else noticed the increased amount of retard drivers on the roads? Must be due to the heat, surely.

If not, driving licenses must be easy to obtain nowadays.

In the local waitrose all the fridges broke because they couldn't keep up with the heat!

I've been on the roof of an old Manor house for the afternoon. Actually gone from pasty white to very slightly pink.

We had a floor standing fan going all day at work on weds. Was quite posh all metal example and the blades all flew off after about 8hrs of use. Made a massive noise.

Well, we had the storm finally.

Wow. Best/worst storm I've witnessed in the UK at 230 this morning. Shame it was all sheet lightning though, lit up the whole sky

Yeah just been speaking to the neighbours and went out to the cars. We live in one of the lowest parts of Melbourne so all of the shit from the village washes down to our corner. Big pile of silt and stones in front of Miss Nibnob's car and a load of twigs and leaves caught up under both our cars. One neighbour was saying that all of the water and crap was hitting Miss Nibnob's car and sloshing write over it!

My car has got wet inside where the water has risen up over the sills, and when I started it it shat out a load of water from the exhaust. Water started creeping through the front door of the house too, but hasn't done any damage.

I went to bed when it was dry and warm, I woke up and it was dry and warm. I knew rain was forecast but I did wake up a little confused when I saw a big pile of stones in front of the cars

Miss Nibnob

We finally got the storm last night (NW Kent)

It was coming down like fackin' stair rods.

Mahoosive thunder, raindrops like ping pong balls. Bloody sheet lightning though, no fork Went on for ages though and really impressive. Only ever seen about two storms like it before.

Apart from the odd blade of grass glistening in the sun slightly you wouldn't even know it this morning though. No debris, everything looks dry, clear indigo skies, loads of sunshine and apparently minimal humidity.

I bet my car's full of poxy rain though

I was up at 5:30am for work and you could most definitely tell a storm had come over. So much shit on the roads. Managed to rip half my bumper off it's bracket. Fixed it in work luckily.

I'd enjoy a bbq at midnight on a Friday night. Burgers and flavoured cider while a storm brews. Be awesome tbh.
