I crap myself on solo night rides, makes me ride faster though!
Seat height will be sorted as soon as you get a reverb  I'm waiting for the wife to go our so I can fit mine, it was an under the radar purchase

I so want a reverb 3 mates have them makes descents so much easier just being able to drop the seat at the push of a button best part of £300 though

Yes an external battery, but it is small enough to strap to the frame keeping your bottle cage free. Except, I ride a 15" frame and so I can't get a bottle out with this battery in place 
The battery is proper light, you don't know it is on the bike. And no silly long cables wrapped around the top tube either.

Lad that works for me was banging on about these reverb seat posts a while back. Sound like a trick bit of kit. Think Ill leave the bank balance to replenish for a bit.

Reverb isn't the only one but probably the most popular. I got a stealth version for £180 technically second hand although it has only seen one ride. I think you can pick the standard version up for around this price new off some of the german websites. Alternatively there are some cheaper ones getting good reviews around the £70 mark too.

I always said I wouldn't spend the money on a dropper seat post as dropping the saddle before a decent manually is no hassle. And you normally have a rest after a climb anyway.
Then dad bought me a Gravity Dropper, one of the originals. I now wouldn't have a bike without one. And now I ride more DH/freeride, when I get out on the XC bike I can't descend without the seatpost being out of the way.
I'd HIGHLY recommend some form of dropper seat post. Make sure it has a remote though. Mine is under saddle and a bit awkward for quick drops.

Gensis ate heavily involved with Madison the distributor. Not sure if they're owned by but the bikes do get good reviews!

They are owned my Madison, same as Saracen now are and ridgeback are and i can vouch for there quality, got a number of them lol. Hell of a lot of bike for the cash. We (ukbikesdepot) can also do 15% off all 2013 bikes on our website with free delivery if you fancy one of there new 29ers

I like the way all the cables etc are inside the frame only thing I can see that lets it down is the elixir 1s

Depends what you mean? Crows foot style for just washing it, or full on mechanics style? Or a kick stand for the chain stay?

Yes, it was hard, fast, grippy crunchy with frozen puddles. Great fun! Hose pipe frozen for post ride clean though
