Lucas Id be happy to play as much as he did last season (which was more than any other out field player). Aquilani Id bank on quality wise, fitness wise though I dont know.

Id be happy to drop Gerrard back as cover though. And maybe buy someone happy to sit on the bench and play the odd game if needed.

Yeah Im not against replacing him with that (at a low/free cost) but just not seeing the need to spunk most of his fee on a replacement.

Not when we are in desperate need for another top class striker.

Looks like were going to sign luke young for a few million (covering most of that by selling Degen).

He isn't the best in the world, but expect he will be experienced cover for both full back positions, as well as being English so helping us meet our quota needed this season.

Not happy with this Young bid, if it's true. I'm not expecting 2 x world class LB's but for the money we could probably get Salcido as cover for our 1st choice (likely to be Figeuroa).

That Maxi story is probably way off the mark, as Cosmo said it started in some low life spanish paper which is the only source ever quoted. We need to keep hold of him, the only slight concern is that all the Argies want out together!

The thing with Young is that he can cover both LB and RB - which considering we only really have Johnson as a RB (unless you count on kids) is somewhere we need cover for.

I doubt he'd see much game time unless we get some serious injuries and the kids cant hack it (namely Kelly at RB).
