i had a bad crash a couple months back (rolled a couple times n landed on me roof), havnt driven fast or put me foot down since! really shits me up wen im in me mates cars.
made me think alot and put things into prospective(sp)!

Orite al take a run up later and have a look.. Not the usual spot for crashes aswell, just a pretty bad road in general.. Taken it at some speeds before but just makes u think when u hear about things like this tho...

Drink drivers I have no patience for them and there is absoultely no excuse for it

With witnesses to the accident and proof of drink driving, he will probably get a 12 month ban and it will be on his license for 11 years IIRC so insurance will hit him hard over that period. He could possibly lose his job if he needs his license/car for work and then he has to live with the fact that he caused so much distress to a families lives. If police throw a dangerous driving charge in there aswell (which they could and should), then he could face a prison sentence too.

So i wouldn't worry too much about him. Look after yourselves first, get better, then get the compensation claims in for injuries etc and then buy some goodies for Kieran. He'll be loving it.

I hope Karen has a full and heathly recovery, I'm sure she will. And glad to hear yourself and wee Kieran are ok too, if you can call it "ok" after something like that.
