Exactly, whenever I've let others drive my car (rare as it is) I'm constantly on edge looking for anything that could damage it... you must have had our eyes shut not to see a wall

to get into her? as i said earlier insurance, licences etc are there for a reason and i THINK that by law, you're responsible as you are in charge of the car, not her? dunno if im correct there? so therefore you should have the pay the damage. she was inexperienced to start with, plus id imagine theres no way she would hit a wall in an empty car park unless she wasnt concentrating, and only you/mates there to distract her? imagine if a person had been walking through car park and you hit them...

I think the only way she could have actually hit the wall and he hadn't predicted it is if she had slammed the brake on just infront of the wall, but didn't put the clutch in and the car lurched forward into it. Any other way then I'm baffled.

Yeah, if a copper had pulled you on the car park, and checked details, he could have done her for driving with no licence/insurance, and unless you accept responsibility for letting her drive, she would have been done for taking a motor vehicle without consent too

Depends how the law treats it. Its proper driving but uninsured and unaccompanied as passenger isn't old enough to supervise, passenger would also get cause or permit codes where the offence code is incremented by 4, so IN10 for her and IN14 for you, both of which carry 6-8 points. Maybe also an LC20 for her which is 3-6 points. Basically she's not driving for a while and you'll not be insuring anything for less than the cost of the vehicle for some years to come.
Or as Ash mentioned, its theft if you claim not to be supervising her, which is better for you but it fairly negates the object of the exercise.
Best case scenario is just the sore head.
