Not really insurance companies look at a ban much worse than points!! Where 6 points could warrant a £50 increase a ban could mean an increase of £150!!

Ure one lucky punk people get Points and fines for doing 40 in a 30, IMO u should have had a bad for a year

Up to 65mph there allowed to issue points, after that its a ban anywhere between 1 month & 12 months.

Not really lucky, yes its not a long ban as it could have been. Lucky would have been 5mph lower & 6 points!!

I posted up a thread the other day of my mate who got caught doing 67 in a 30 while racing another car, and only got 3 points and £60 fine, turns out he was actually doing 74 He was VERY lucky to get what he did for driving like such a knob

double the speed limit + racing on public highway.....very very lucky!

hmm 55day ban is quit a while will it show up for insurance etc?

just done a insurance check, my insurance stays the same untill my renewal.

then when i insure it for the next year, i then will have 4 years no claims ill be 21 and im currently insuring my gsi for £425 my next payment will be.... £447 u badgers

my 5 points i just got in court recently (my tactic knocked off one point of evidence gathering and that ) dont do anything to my insurance wooo hooo!

only got a tiddly fine too thanks to them being lazy and not confirming my offence was worthy of a big one.

LMAO @ doing 70 in a 30.

My Brother did 120 in a 60 and got let off once.

Daimo, can only do 70 in a 70 so your get a bike comment is flawed

when I got caught for 101.4 mph and got given 6 points - my insurance actually dropped when I told them by about £150

This is true. Speeding is dangerous and wreckless and kills tiny animals and bugs and children.

Nothing to do with the lack of common sense, lack of people paying attention. Its the speed thats the killer.
