Dave - Non Corsa related, but do Calibras have 'projector' headlights, and do you do a H1 kit for said car?

?? you sure dave, everytime i look at my headlamps im greeted by projector lenses....

Anyways.. I got hold of a bosch kit the other day, very happy with it

And as dave says. you get what you pay for with things like HID conversions

oh, and as far as current draw goes and existing wiring - HID bulbs are 35w bulbs compared to halogen at 60w the ballast boxamajig is basically a step up transformer its the wiring after the transformer that needs to be of a decent spec

no, but the quality of some of the kits from ebay mean its far more likely to happen, wont happen to all of them obviously, has happened before though.

these dont look a bad buy

[Edited on 23-10-2007 by DAZ1985]

Anyone bought these ones in the link above ?? seller certainly get some good feedback on them, I take it the plastic covers shown around the actual bulb within the box are for packing protection only ???

also bit confused do these ones plug straight to your battery as has been suggested off the more safer way off fitting things ?? wiring loom included bit confused ?!!

looks a neat kit anyone else think these ones look any better than some off the other ones offered on ebay ??

Anyone comment re the above ebay kit ??

tell me something ?? why do some off the latest corsas etc with HID fitted as standard give off a very strong purple colour when viewed from certain angles / distances surely Vauxhall dont fit 12k bulbs as standard ??!!

will a car fitted with an 8k rated color temp aftermarket HID systmn give off this changing colour type ie. puple - blue- white effect like mentioned above in the latest corsa example mentioned above ??
