fans are demanding too much from some average players when the 3 key people are out. im counting g to the johnson here as he has been a good signing. the rest of the liverpool team if you consider it are actually doing alright

But for the money they spend the fans are right to probably want a bit more.

I get the feeling Aquilani was bought to appease the fans after selling Alonso tbh, he's a different type of player but he's nowhere near as good from what I've seen.

I think a lot of people under estimated the consistency of passing Alonso brought, he was/is the best at what he does in world football probably.

They need to make up 5 points on Fiorentina over 2 games. Out of their hands basically.

I saw the answer on the TV pretty much as soon as I posted that

Hopefully it will go down to the wire with Fiorentina going through

They'll get knocked out, go on to win the Europa and then think they are the dogs bollocks and start spouting about how they'll win the PL next season.

An Arsenal fan going on about a club's fans saying they will win the league season after season, go figure

Was a bad result last night, especially after we played fairly well I thought. Another mistake defensively cost us the win, as the ball should of been booted clear and not tapped out like it was.

And as for our players other than Gerrard, Torres and Johnson...I thought Masch was excellent last night, he is one who should be int hat group with those three players being classed as top top quality. Same goes for Reina tbh.

RE: Aquilani, I dont think anyone is expecting him to be the same type of player Alonso was, its been made very clear that he isnt, which is correct. He is much more attacking in his play, plays about 20-30yrs further forward and has a much more cutting pass rather than 40-50yard quarter back type pass which Alonso is probably the best in the world at.

Anyway, Im not sure why everyone is raving about Alonso, according to half the people on here and all the pundits in the media Carrick and Fletcher were better than him last season

Dissapointing but some positives to take from that performance. I thought Kyrgiakos's, and Voronin's lack of quality showed, they had good spells but it's not good enough for us to have good spells. I thought the majority of the rest of the players had decent games, you could tell torres wasn't 100%. Frustrating that we didn't put a couple more chances away but it's better than i've seen us play in europe so far. We will be extremely lucky to go through now.

Presume that means you have to have prawn sarnies at half time and not go back up until 50mins?

I was in the NW Quadrant on the upper tier, next to the Stretford End. Usually sit in the Stretford End in the upper level of the lower tier and the atmosphere is better but you cant see all the pitch like you can in the corner. I wouldn't want to be in the high seats at the back, they must be crap

the people that annoy me are the ones that leave early. Surely they know by now that United are good at getting goals in the dying moments

never a penalty. was a brilliant jump for the ball. all he did was fall onto the villa player, didn't exactly use him to jump

anyway, 2-1, can't be mad at that. hopefully will be the start of something good
