It is times like this that while Wenger can't 'afford' to buy a new keeper. He can't afford not to. Loosing now instead of the semis could be the cost of the play it self

You should have bought Asmir Begovic from Pompey, superb keeper.

Marco Amelia woudl be my choice
Comical last night although allowign the goal to stand was poor in my book, let alone the fact the ref tossed the ball to them! we'll batter them at home

Wenger's take on the matter:
"What can you do about the second goal? Whenever do you see the defender kick the ball back with his toe? The ball hit Sol, it was not on purpose," insisted Wenger, who remonstrated with Hansson on the touchline after the goal.
"It is difficult to understand how the referee can interpret that. Then, on an indirect free-kick, if you allow the team to play quickly, just five metres from the goal, how can you defend that?
"It is better than a penalty. It was unbelievable that he allowed Porto to play straightaway and push the ball into the net. I have never seen that and I have been in the game a long time"
First commen tis laughable but the rest is true! I remember a big furore after Henry did it against Chelsea and after that the refs have clmaped down on it a lot in the PL

Supprised Wenger did not mention the stonewall pentalty that was not allowed a couple minutes before thier 2nd.
You can only look at the bright side and think at the Emirates with a few players back and no cock-ups we should be OK.

It wasn't in the PL though, and i'm pretty sure the PL or even the FA didn't generally stop allowing quick free kicks.

Not sure what the 'rules' are now but how many times do you see the ref doing the whole "wait for the whistle" thing.
Personally I have always thought fair game. Take it early if you want BUT if people are in the way tough
