I've always had sub 30mpg cars but recently I bought a small, modern diesel which gives me 45-55mpg on average and I LOVE IT! I find myself driving slower and more smoothly to get better MPG's. Althought my toy is a V8 and averages 12mpg at the moment which sort of offsets it

Bloody hell stocker!!!!!!! Lots of motorway miles?

Pah, 70p per litre..

I remember when you paid per gallon

My dad used to whinge about putting £20 into the jetski. I think the same days jetskiing would cost him £50+ these days, easily!!

Bent over, lubed, and prodded with the governments big black 12" dildo, all of us.....

I'm surprised you could even afford a jetski, what with you being so poor and hard up.

It's saddening when you can actually watch the needle drop as your driving and calculate that small trip cost you a tenner!

is right, Id rather have a 5 series estate than an X5, I bet price wise the estate would be better specced, doesnt just go for the X5, id say that with most SUVs

Because estates are for grandads and dont generally look that good.

Petrol fail.

If I got a derv I'd have to fill up about twice per month, instead of 4 times per month. I bet it'd be comfier due to balloon tyres as well

Did you used to have an X5?

My friend who has one said exactly the same, tyres are £250 a pop too :/

I do alot of scuba diving which is one reason why I want, I want something big I can load up.
Plus we are expecting our first child in June and would like something big, practical and something nicer than my previous cars.

Depends how much money you have.

If you look at the prices of a 3.0d model and a 4.4i model vs the fuel savings on the diesel....

I think it would take you a good couple of years to break even. But the i suppose you would sell it for more so its relative....

But you get to drive a v8 x5...that is

only on the daily/tow car.

Its a fruitless exercise to even try and work out the MPG of the track cars and 911.

The 911 is easier to work out miles per year and the skyline litres per mile probably
