I think you were in the right tbh. I also get too many customers who talk to you like crap and expect you to drop everything to help them. I am always polite and try in everyway to help but some people expect too much. Guess it's the perks of having your own business that u can telll em where to go!

fair enough the customer was an idiot but a lot of them are
where i work we get people 10x worse than that i have had them calling me an arse hole ,wanker ect
but if i got caught speaking to them like you did i would be looking for another job

ive read the first page.
i wouldn't have taken what customer said.
but i would have reacted differently. like offering the cheapest one to him
then if he is bein a gimp then just say,.. well this is what we have..
but fair play to tellin him to get the fuck out..
shame i cant get away with that.

Surely washing machines, in a washing machine store pretty much sell themselves?
Customer walks in wanting a washing machine. Closing the sale should be a piece of piss.
- Thing is, he may of just been feeling you out to get the best deal. I would laugh at any price someone says and offer rediculously low. If you don't try you won't know.
He may of said 'I only want to spend £100' and you may of ended up doing him a deal and selling him a £200 machine for £150. Therefore worth him trying. Otherwise he may of said 'I'm happy to spend £200' and you'd of sold him the £200 machine for £200.
- End result is, you lost your temper pretty fast. I wouldn't be surprised if he went and keyed your car after.

Customer was an arehole by the sonds of it, I would have dealt with it differently though. Maybe said With equipment like this you get what you pay for kinda thing, and wishing him good luck on getting a decent washing machine for under a tonne
