Received a package from SteveBoySlim this morning
Inside that package was a box.....
Inside the box was 4 of these.....
87mm, 8.5:1 forged bundles of joy.
Also recieved another nice bit of roundness in the shape of this....
Hopefully no more alternator belts flying off.
Next step, everything bottom end related is going for measuring, machining, balancing, and then after a few more purchases of bolts and bearings, will be built up.

With not having alot of money, but too much time this weekend, decided to paint strip and clean up my engine block.....
Paint stripped thickly applied, this is a second coat.
And the front of the block which I did earlier.....
Just need to see if core plugs are still available, if they are ill get em popped out and get the block painted, thinking either light anthracite or silver.

Cheers Ben. Sent them an email. Would ideally love to have it done, as you see it cleans out all the oil galleries and water jackets etc.
George, put money in my bank and it will be done quicker

Ben they said it would be about £45+ vat which is £54 all in.
For that price im going to make sure my machine work for the new pistons will clear the crap thats on the bores currently, then get mine dipped.

Had some time this afternoon so stripped down the cylinder head.
Valve spring compressor on...
Valve, spring seat, stem seal, inner spring, outer spring, retainer, collets
All out.....
I also found out why I always seemed to be followed by a plume of blue smoke, any body spot the difference of this.....
to this (sorry shit pic)
Coming up next is cleaning everything so its squeeky clean and ready for rebuilding.
PS, does anybody know if LETs have double springs as standard?
Cheers.

Spoke to the engine machiners yesterday, going to be taking my block to be bored and decked and anything that rotates in the bottome end to be balanced.
Will then have to order a gasket kit, big and main bearings and finaly a Z-Let oil pump and pickup and that will be my bottom end done and dusted.
