Got up at 5am this morning, Looked out and thought sod that!

Wasn't digging my way out and cleaning the car off for 4 hours work!

Got back in bed, got up at 9 then cleared the 3 cars off and the whole of the front. Its all piled up in the middle of the street now (On a large grassed area!) Then did a few bits on the interior of the car!

Just spent about 45 mins clearing the cars and van off so it should be an easier task in the morning.

Problems that we found,

Both doors on the MR2 froze shut
Drivers door on the BMW will open but won't shut properly so has to be held shut and locked but then it won't open again so passenger door has to be used
Heater on the BMW wouldn't blow hot air after being run for about half an hour and a couple of mile drive.

On the plus side the van seems fine

Is fine down here - yes still 4-5 inches of snow around, but can get around. Having said that, roads are still shocking compared to over the border into Hampshire!

Been up to Cheltenham to bring my sister back from uni today. Was -6 up there and every single road even through the city centre was sheet ice, was lethal - and so many idiots around who really shouldn't have been on the road!

Oh and on the way home, we stopped to help push a car up a hill - the guy who was pushing it but struggling on his own was blind How cruel is that?!

My dad has just driven back from Sussex, said it was terrible, so many crashed cars and jack knifed lorrys on the way!

I took the MR2 round the block after I'd cleared it to try and melt the ice that was completely covering the back brakes It's better than when I tried driving it Friday night, most of the snow's turned to ice now but it's mostly still nice and rough so it does actually offer a bit more grip.

And after my post about the bellend in the Merc yesterday, I again drove up the same slight incline without the slightest sign of wheel spin after he slid various times and was just wheelspinning everywhere, idiot

Had about an inch at 3pm, bit of a blizzard, got the pregnant mrs home from town ok, saw 3 people crash right infront of me.

Some people should not be driving like.
