No idea on wheels yet. I'm so fucked off still.
It was keyed at the beggining of the year and chloes mini was keyed the week before.
Few months before that the number plates were nicked too.
I do detest some people I really do

Can't believe there are people out there that think this sort of thing is ok to do.

I hated my old car for about 2 months after someone tore off just an arch trim, I dread to think how you feel now mate. Properly gutted for you.

I still have my standards in garage if you're interested.
Got a couple mm left before indicator on tyres. Michelin Pilots.

The lacquer is flaking off as usual, though.

From an evidential point of view - CCTV is only good if it can capture the offence and have some identifiable features of persons - ie clear facial shots, car reg nos etc. If it shows four blokes in hoodies walking up the road carrying the rims, then it tells us 4 blokes did it, nothing more. If it shows someone loading wheels into the back of a motor, it tells us more. if it has the reg, then jackpot. Give the police alot towards getting a warrant from a magistrate to raid the addresss, especially if persons known to police are linked to the vehicle.

Ultimately, most criminals are, to a degree, forensically aware. They wear gloves, hoodies / balaclavas (yes, really) / hat/cap to hide face from CCTV, they don't smoke / eat / drink at scene of offence or leave anything behind that can be fingerprinted etc. Thus leaving Police nothing on which to start their investigation.

Police will have an idea based on previous information, of who is responsible, or at least where they are from, but will not be able to act on that alone.

we are contacting the building owners to get some gates put in like the flats next door as loads of cars got done in their car park.

The police have said there has been lots of m3 wheels going misiing in the area and they have some leads, they are taking the nuts for forensics.

they brought wood and bricks with them as there is nothing lying around in the area

You'd have thought they would forensically check the blocks of wood and the areas around your wheels (i.e. brakes/suspension) and all outer parts of the car as well?

Maybe I've been watching too much CSI?

Maybe if somebody was murdered! But for a set of nicked alloys I doubt they'd go to such lengths

As I stated - most theives are forensically aware - pair of gardening gloves seems to be the most common where I work whether for theft from cars, burglary, shoplifting. Fingerprints can only be lifted from clean and smooth surfaces - possibly on paintwork of car, but not from discs, shocks, arch linings, wood, bricks etc. DNA would also be near impossible as the car was outside albeit covered, so unless there was any blood it would be difficult to get anything. Fag ends are the best things though - they hold DNA nicely and thieves generally dont think to pick them up.

Got your phone wet?

I Love the rain but last time it rained when I was at your place the Z3 turned into a dingy
