A better question to have is how much are you worth, cash in the bank is lossing 3% a year currenty due to inflation.

I've thought about inflation before too, it just means these poor old people that have their life savings in the bank account, are losing money all the time.

Money doesn't bother me, it will come and go and there's always more to be earned. Right now I spend money on shit mainly I'll start saving properly in a few years though as I dont want to be stuck at home forever, I stand to inherit a fair amount of cash one day so I guess that's at the back of my mind, knowing that I'll have it sooner or later.

Not got much these days. Own both our cars outright and bought a house a year ago so everything I had stashed away is pretty much gone. Save around £500 a month so will eventually get back to a reasonable amount, hate not having spare cash in case I lose my job etc.

£10k isn't exactly hard to scrape together. £500 per month for a couple of years.

TBH, if you can't save £10k I've no idea how you think you'll buy a house.
