Which one?
The one from the end of the coil cover or the one from the back of the head?

Dunno, I've heard 600 carbs give better torque and mid range power :/

nope not too small, 45s can run40mm chokes and will see decent power...twin 40 webers have a maximum 36mm choke iirc so are shite on an xe unless otherwise standard.

So as far as the carbs are concerned.. What would I need on top of what's pictured? Also my last help post a little further up the screen, anymore answers on the things I'm stuck on?

ring bogg brothers up and ask them to make a manifold to suit....mayhave to post your carbs to them but their manifolds are the best you can getm think thier £220 new, but well worth it. then you can either run a low pressure fuel pump or i used and injection reg and then a carb reg to get the fuel pressure down, got a pic on mobile i can send you anyway of how i had the regs though.
you will also need a dizzy set up from a 1.6 mk2 cav or h+h do a kit, not cheap burt does have everything you need.

Is this the fuel reg for the spi engine? And do I get rid of it for the conversion? And could I use it and the spi fuel pump for carbs?

the valve thing is for the carbon canister in the drivers side wing, part of the emissions system and the plug looks like a connector for the octane plug for the ecu, may not be though as its in the wrong area
